Machinery Lubrication Magazine recently asked readers to participate in its annual Lube Room Challenge by submitting exceptional lube rooms that incorporate best-practice features. Wiegel was featured in this year’s 2017 Lube Room Challenge showcasing their manufacturing facility’s modern oil storage room after improving their lubricant storage methods.
Since redesigning their oil storage room, Wiegel now stores all tooling and production oils in color- and shape-coded containers with a designated location for easy identification. The oil room's new layout allows more oil to be stored in less space while helping to prevent cross-contamination. Lube-related mistakes have decreased significantly and the process is much more efficient.
